Development

WordPress for iOS is an Open Source project, which means anyone can play a part in its development. WordPress for iOS is released under the GNU General Public License. Both our app and our source code are free to download and use however you’d like. In return, if you are able, we’d love it if you contributed your code, your design talents, or even just your suggestions back to the project.

Getting involved

We discuss our development plans and progress on our development blog, Making WordPress for iOS. We invite you to join the discussion there. You can follow the changes to our source code in Trac. The login system uses the WordPress.org registration. Download the free iOS 6 SDK from the Mac App Store to either contribute code with Xcode or run the latest build in the iPhone simulator.

Source Code

The source code is available via Subversion (SVN). You can browse the source or point your SVN client to the latest trunk, where you’ll find the latest development build. If you’ve never heard of SVN, you can learn more about Subversion on Wikipedia.

Credits

WordPress for iOS was created by Automattic and developed with the help of the WordPress community. Home screen icons were designed for WordPress by Ben Dunkle. WordPress for iOS uses the Glyphish icon set by Joseph Wain.
